![]() She was the daughter of Odette and the late Willem Burgers. SINE, MICHELE JMichele Sine passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 103-74 Wade Avenue East, Penticton, BC V2A 8M4. Celebration of life will be held Jat 2:00 pm at the Penticton Chapel, 501 Winnipeg St., Penticton, BC. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifford, her brother, Melville McLennan, and niece, Donna Rosenke (nee McLennan). Gladys is survived by her son, Dale Hamilton, two grandchildren Tammy (Jim) Murray of Duncan, Tony (Shari) Hamilton of Penticton, two great-grandchildren Candace and Tavis Hamilton of Penticton and niece, Anita Rosenke (nee McLennan) of Edmonton. Gladys became an accomplished home vintner and her skill was recognized with numerous awards at local competitions. The family followed Cliff's work with the federal government and eventually settled in Penticton in 1953. After the end of the war, the Hamilton family moved to Vancouver, BC where Cliff attended UBC. Their son, Byron Dale Hamilton, was born in Galahad, Alberta, in 1943. ![]() Gladys McLennan married John Clifford Hamilton in Alliance, Alberta and remained there until Clifford completed his service with the Royal Canadian Air Force. She attended Olds College in Olds, Alberta and earned a degree in Home Economics. Gladys was born March 8, 1916, in Merna, Alberta, to Scott and Ruby McLennan, Gladys attended a one-room school in Merna where she graduated from high school. 30.HAMILTON, GLADYS EILEEN (nee McLennan) Passed away in Penticton, BC on Jat the age of 97 years. Arrangements are entrusted to Gerein Funeral Service, Wilkie Sask. Paul's Hospital would graciously be accepted by the family. Donations to the Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic or the PD Clinic at St. Family and community were important to him. He served on the Catholic School Board, was an active Kinsmen and K-40 member, served on the building committee for the Civic Centre (Sask Can Centre), was ice maker at the curling rink. He was active in the community over the years. He enjoyed moose season with his hunting companions. ![]() He still found time to do a lot of fishing with Grace and his kids. Louis was in the grocery retail business for most of his adult life, He also juggled the grocery business in Wilkie and Unity with farming in Wakaw. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Wakaw, Sask. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Roman Catholic Church, Wilkie, Sask. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Octoat St. ![]() He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Grace, his parents Louis and Elizabeth Sloboda, brother Ken Latos, brother-in-law Dennis Pelletier, parents-in-law John and Agnes Nagy. His loving sister Margaret Pelletier and sisters Edith (Alex) Sereda, Shirley (Terry) Prociuk, Joanne (Dale) Hildebrandt, and numerous nieces and nephews. ![]() Four grandchildren, Christopher Sloboda (Janelle Little), Steven Sloboda, Morgan Sloboda (Brandon Griffiths), and Jordan Sloboda. Unity Sask., and Jason Sloboda (Ellie Leidl) Wilkie, Sask. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Sheri Sloboda, Wilkie Sask., Lloyd (Jill) Sloboda, Unity Sask., Brad Sloboda. He was the person always ready to lend a helping hand and a friendly word. Family and friends, fishing, hunting, baseball, curling, music, oil painting and fixing things were his passions. to Louis and Elizabeth (Bator) Sloboda on July 20, 1935. passed away at Wilkie Health Care Centre on Wednesday, Septemat the age of 84 years. ![]()
